Totino-Grace takes down Centennial

The Totino-Grace eagles took on the Centennial Cougars last Friday night. It was also a big Tackle Cancer game for Centennial.

The defense set a strong example in the first half. The Eagle offense continued that momentum and scored 21 points to lead the game 21-0 at halftime. After halftime, neither team scored and Totino-Grace won 21-0 with a record now of 7-0.

This was the second shutout of the season, after Anoka. Senior quarterback Kyle Halverson was 9 of 18 for 102 yards and 1 touchdown to senior Joe Russell. With senior running back Ivan Burlak out, junior Sam Hanson stepped in and looked good. He had 64 yards and a touchdown while Senior Gayflor Flomo had 135 yards and a touchdown. 

The Totino-Grace Eagles finish their regular season with a Wednesday game versus Coon Rapids. It will also be Senior night, as the team honors its seniors. The game starts at 7:00 pm at Jim Totino Stadium. Come out and support the team!
Also, the playoff bracket comes out Thursday afternoon, be sure to check for updates. If Totino-Grace wins on Wednesday, they will be guaranteed one of the number 1 spots in the 32 team bracket.
