Teacher Appreciation

Teachers  play a huge role in educating and shaping children. They are kind, patient, hard-working, dedicated, and understanding professionals that help to mold our life and lead us in a positive direction.

Because teachers spend so much of their time focusing on their students as well as the needs of all their students it is important to recognize teachers for all their hard work. National Teacher Appreciation Day, also known as National Teacher Day, is celebrated on the Tuesday of the first full week in May. The National Education Association describes National Teacher Day as, “A day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives”.

It is important to understand that a teacher doesn’t stop teaching outside of the classroom. Senior Allison Parnell says, ” My teachers have impacted my life in many ways, but mostly because they have taught me lessons that I can take outside of the classroom. They are always there to talk about anything I may need help with, or even to just joke around.” Senior Abby Palma also commented, ” My teachers have given me lots of wisdom that can be used later in life.”

According to Kagan education Teachers LOVE their job.  https://www.kangan. edu.au/students/ blog/teachers -love -teaching And It’s no secret that TG is a school filled with some of the BEST teachers. ENN Asked several students to comment on some of the teachers at TG. Their answers are as follows;

“Mrs. Wysocki is a fun, creative teacher who comes up with great class activities. She keeps the class intrigued but also lets us have work/independent time when we need it. She can be personable yet strict enough to control the class.” -Senior Rachel Mansun

“Mr. Thibodeau has contributed greatly to my engineering experience and has helped with college and career planning.” -Senior Abbey Holscher

“Ms. Hoss is someone who truly is passionate about the subject she teaches and helping her students understand the material so they can grow as an individual.” -Senior Allison Parnell

“Mrs. Neuman truly cares about her students and what is going on in their lives. She wants you to succeed. ” -Senior Abby Palma

“Although I haven’t had Mr. Munson since sophomore year, I learned so much in his class and he always took time to explain the material whenever a question came up. Not to mention, I have never been good at math and in his class I ended with an A. That just proves that he taught phenomenally.” – Senior Hannah Daley

“Chris Vance- You can just tell how much he loves biology and teaching all the students. He truly wants the world for every student he teaches, and through his excitement you become excited to learn. But the most inspiring part about him is not his love for teaching, but rather his concern for our mental being. He makes you feel as if you always have a friend at school and he inspires everyone to be a better person.” – Senior Nicole Newman

TG is truly blessed with many amazing teachers. Students, be sure to take the time to thank your teachers for all their hard work.  Senior Abbey Holscher shared with ENN that she  “would be nowhere near where I am today without all of the wonderful teachers at TG who truly care about myself and the rest of the student body.”
