Boys Lacrosse season right around the corner

As the winter sports seasons wrap up, the boys lacrosse team is starting to lace up their cleats in preparation for another season. With a great majority of their starters returning, the boys are looking forward to a successful season. “We have nine senior guys this year bringing leadership, experience, goals, and wins. They are the backbone of the team.” Senior captain Connor Mullen comments about the upcoming season. The team is competing in a new section, consisting of other Catholic and private schools. Josh Beckfeld is returning to the team for his second year of being the team’s head coach. Senior captain Hayden Lacy shares “Our coaching staff is young, but they are full of lacrosse knowledge and determined to make us better.” With more losses than wins last year, the boys lacrosse team will be working towards improving their record with the guidance of the seniors and the coaching staff. Their first game is occurring in mid-April against Spring Lake Park. As always, this will be a tough opponent for the boys. A rivalry for their first game is the challenge they need to prove they can compete with anyone.
