There is no question that prom is a huge deal in the Totino-Grace community. Just the word itself gives people a bolt of energy, and the chattering of the event begins. It is almost seen as a holiday with all the planning, preparation, and excitement that comes with it.

“I’m so excited for Senior Prom, and I know everyone else is too. It is such a fun night and a great memory!” said senior Jenna Meyer.

Talk about prom has been going on months before the event’s date. The most prominent thing is all the creative ways the guys ask their dates to go. There are new awesome promposals every year. After you get your date, you go get your tuxedos and dresses to look like royalty for the night. Then finally you go to the actual event. You and your date walk across the stage with the spotlight on you while being watched by all your friends and family. Next thing on the agenda is going to a place to take all those great Instagram pictures and to get some food. Then finally…the party bus! This is also seen as one of the best things a about prom.

“It is truly such a special night, even if some people won’t admit it,” said Senior Hayden Lacy.

Prom is not “amped” but it is a great event for friends to come together and do something different. All the talk and excitement is because they know it is going to be a night that will always be remembered.
