TG Beats Champlin on Homecoming Night

The Totino-Grace football team took a sixth straight win when they played the Champlin Park Rebels on Friday night. It was the 50th homecoming of Totino-Grace, and it was a Tackle Cancer game to raise money for the Randy Schafer Cancer Research and Community Fund.

The Eagles showed dominance in the first half starting out with a kickoff return for a touchdown by Gayflor Flomo. The defense held Champlin’s high-scoring offense to only 7 points in the first half. In the second half, the offense added two touchdowns and the Eagles rolled over Champlin Park to a 42-21 win to keep the undefeated record of 6-0.

The Eagles performed well in front of a large crowd. After a huge opening kickoff return for a touchdown, Gayflor Flomo added 3 more touchdowns and a 2 point conversion to his game totals. Flomo ended the game with 18 rushes for 128 yards. Senior Quarterback, Kyle Halverson, went 7 for 9 for 154 yards and a touchdown to senior Wide Receiver Joe Russell.

The Eagle football team plays at Centennial on Friday night at 7:00pm. Centennial is 3-3 after a 35-23 win over Osseo last week. The Eagles lost to Centennial last year and hope for a different outcome this year.

Come out and support the Eagles this Friday night!
