What’s on the Road Ahead?
September 28, 2016
Being a senior means preparing for a lot of changes and starting a fresh chapter. In the senior class of 198 students; one fourth of them say they are struggling to decide which college would best suit them, and it’s difficult because there are so many to choose from. Many students wish they had taken the ACT sooner or gotten better grades starting off freshmen year.
Grace Tutland says, “Even though the process of applying and choosing which schools to apply to is stressful, it’s all worth it when you get an acceptance letter back.” Most seniors would agree with this statement!
Forty students have already been accepted to at least one college. And many more are beginning the application process, with less than half the grade taking the ACT again.
Common schools seniors are applying to are Iowa State University, College of Saint John’s/Saint Ben’s, University of Kansas, and North Dakota State University. Brady Bertram says he’s, “Super excited for college and will be attending either Kansas State or St.Thomas!”
There’s no doubt the seniors have many things to look forward to this year! In only a few months, the graduating class of 2017 will spread across the country with students going all the way to Arizona State University, University of Boulder Colorado or staying local at the University of St. Thomas.
