Stranger Things Review
November 28, 2016
Stranger Things is not your typical horror story. Set in the 1980’s, a young boy named Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) disappears from a small town, setting off a chain of unordinary events. Will’s friends, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) try to unravel the mystery of his disappearance, along with the help of their new friend, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
This show will hook you from the beginning with a quick developing plot leaving you on the edge of your seat. Unlike many movies and television shows documenting abnormal activity, this show contains many plot twists that viewers will never see coming. There are eight episodes in the first season, each about fifty minutes long, making them perfect to binge watch. Start as soon as you can, Stranger Things season two is coming soon in 2017.
Movie and TV show site IMDb gave season one of Stranger Things a 9 out of 10, a well deserved rating. It combines elements of drama, horror and mystery perfectly through a developing plot as the show goes on. The acting is great, and the characters really bring the show to life through a variety of personalities.
