On Thursday, December 2, the girls basketball team played Hill Murray at home. They hoped to upset a very strong Hill Murray team.

Senior captain Alex Gannaway was optimistic going into the game saying, “We are super excited because everyone got their first game of the season nerves out so we are ready for our 2nd home game of the year and not knowing a lot about this year’s Hill Murray team it’s going to bring some surprises but we are ready for it.”

It was a very hard fought game with Hill Murray leading by one point going into the second half. Hill Murray came out strong in the second half, outscoring TG 33-22. Hill Murray ended up pulling away at the end winning with a final score of 58-48.

Alex hopes to improve as the season goes on. “We look to improve on starting and finishing our games strong. Scoring from the start and playing until the very last seconds.”

Alex was also optimistic on the rest of the season and is excited to work hard, so they can show their full potential in their next game against Anoka.

The game against Anoka is at 7:00 p.m. at home. Make sure to go support your Eagles girls basketball team.
